Newsflash from Saturday, 13 December 2025:
A dead dog, clearly poisoned, a dead weasel in an advanced state of decomposition, and two plastic bags containing canned dog food and signs of a toxic substance were found during yesterday’s investigation by Giorgos Horafas and 🐕🦺Nesi at the location of Chosto Nero, in Kato Chorio, Ierapetra.
The autopsy was performed following a complaint from a citizen whose dog showed symptoms of poisoning (the animal is currently at the vet for the necessary treatment).
The Lasithi Detection Team of the Hunting Federation of Crete and the Dodecanese was accompanied by the federal gamekeeper Mr. @YiannisMavrikakis. The findings were handed over to the Lasithi Forestry Department in Agios Nikolaos, where a complaint against persons unknown will be filed.
