Starting January 1, 2026, important changes are coming to the way patients book appointments at the Chania General Hospital. The hospital administration has announced a new system aimed at improving efficiency and reducing waiting times, with a strong focus on telephone and digital services.
✅ How Appointments Will Be Booked in the New Year
From the new year onward, appointments for the Regular Outpatient Clinics can be made through the following methods:
– By phone, by calling:
– 1566
– +30 28210 71010, available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday (If the first working day of the month falls on a Friday, this line will also operate on that day during the same hours.)
– Online, using:
– The MyHealth App on your mobile phone
– The official website finddoctors.gov.gr
🏥 In-Person Appointments: Limited Availability
In-person booking at the Outpatient Clinics Secretariat will still be possible, except on the first working day of each month, when appointments will be handled exclusively by phone and online.
❤️ Priority for Oncology and Hematology Patients
The hospital emphasizes that oncology and hematology patients will continue to receive absolute priority throughout the Secretariat’s operating hours, ensuring uninterrupted access to care.
Why This Matters
These changes mark a significant step toward digital healthcare services, making appointment scheduling faster and more accessible for patients, while reducing congestion at hospital offices.
If you plan to visit Chania Hospital in the new year, make sure you’re familiar with the updated process to avoid delays.
Stay informed, plan ahead, and take advantage of the new digital tools available.
