Crete continues to capture the hearts of European travelers, earning a spot among the top three autumn destinations in TUI’s latest ranking for 2025. According to the leading European tour operator, demand for island and coastal getaways remains strong well beyond the summer months — and Crete stands out as a favorite for those seeking sunshine, culture, and authentic Mediterranean charm.

TUI’s list of the ten most popular post-summer destinations places Antalya in first position, followed by Mallorca, with Crete proudly taking third place. Other Greek islands, including Rhodes and Kos, also feature in the top ten, confirming Greece’s continued appeal as one of Europe’s most beloved travel destinations.

To meet the growing demand, TUI has expanded its autumn flight schedule, adding 64 extra TUIfly flights and 12,500 additional seats. Crete, in particular, enjoys an extended travel window, with flights and accommodation availability stretching through November 23, supported by 5,000 extra airline seats.

Despite cooler weather this October compared to last year’s unusually warm autumn, Crete continues to maintain high occupancy rates thanks to its mild climate and diverse attractions. From historical landmarks and mountain villages to golden beaches and world-renowned cuisine, the island offers an ideal escape for travelers looking to extend their summer.

Meanwhile, data from Airdata Tracker shows a 5.2% increase in available flight seats to Greece this October compared to 2024, with Germany remaining the largest source market. Significant growth is also seen from Italy, France, Austria, and the United States — a clear sign that Greece’s allure remains strong across continents.

With its unique blend of natural beauty, hospitality, and vibrant culture, Crete continues to lead Greece’s autumn tourism boom, proving that the island’s magic extends far beyond the summer season.
