More peaceful stray dogs cruelly poisoned in the municipality of Malevizi near Heraklion on Crete.
In Agioi Theodoroi in the municipality of Malevizi near Heraklion, Crete, there was yet another vicious poisoning attack on stray dogs and cats.
At least three dogs and one cat, which had been cared for by volunteers and sterilised by the municipality, were poisoned by malicious residents.
The dogs had been fed for months and then poisoned in a single day.
They were taken to the local police station in sacks and the results of toxicological tests are awaited.
We were born on the streets
I was born on the street because someone didn’t sterilise my mother…
Then they killed my mother and I was left alone…
By chance, I met other friends who, like me, were strays…
So we formed a pack in a neighbourhood…
The community had us sterilised, and Dimitris, a compassionate volunteer who was actually here to study, fed us and devoted all his time to the animals.
He got up to count and feed us… He took care of us day and night…
But over time, our numbers dwindled, and there was always someone missing…
So he asked a volunteer to publicise our situation and sent her videos, but the volunteer felt that she would not be able to find adoptive parents with the videos – 13 animals sentenced to death in one neighbourhood.
Condemned because, in order to give an animal up for adoption to someone who has not seen it, you have to be able to say something about the animal’s character. You have to know how it gets along with other animals, etc., whether it pulls on the leash when out walking, etc.
Today they killed us too! What did we do to them? We hid, afraid that they might find us, and only came out so that Dimitris could feed us…
EVEN FEEDING THEM BOTHERED THEM!
Threats such as ‘TAKE THE BOWLS AWAY, YOU’VE GATHERED SO MANY, NOW THAT YOU’RE GOING BACK TO GERMANY, YOU’LL SEE WHERE THEY GO’ were made every day.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the luxury of an animal shelter for the animals in my community. So I have saved what I could from this community by chance.
The number has decreased, and today a cat and two wonderful dogs that Dimitris raised and fed with effort and care have been lost.
All three are dead… Dead!
There is no rescue!

Of these dogs, the black one was killed today. We were unable to find a home for it!
The other two, who are siblings, are still alive.
Volunteer Dimitris has been feeding them for months. They were sterilised by the municipality and released back into the area where they are ONLY fed by Dimitris! However, he is returning to Germany, so they will have no one to save them.
Today, neighbours who have been threatening him for a long time killed two animals. The black one and a Kokoni, which I named Carter. No adoptive parents were found.
Please help immediately!
