If you are planning to travel by ferry this Friday, February 6, 2026, you may need to adjust your plans. A 24-hour Pan-Piraeus strike has been announced, which will see ships docked at the port of Piraeus, as well as in the areas of Salamina and Elefsina.
The strike, supported by labor unions including PEMEN and PENEN, is scheduled to run from 00:01 to 24:00 on Friday. The mobilization focuses on demands for renewed labor contracts, increased safety measures, and the presence of doctors on board vessels.

Updated Departure Times for Friday, Feb 6
While many morning and afternoon services are suspended, several major routes to Crete and the islands will depart late Friday night once the strike concludes.
* To Chania (via Milos): The ferry Elyros will now depart at 23:00.
* To Heraklion: The Asterion II will depart at 23:00.
* Blue Star Myconos: Scheduled to depart at 23:00.
* To Heraklion & Sitia: The Blue Star Chios will set sail at 23:59. It is expected to arrive in Sitia on Saturday afternoon.
Canceled Services
Unfortunately, several morning and short-distance routes have been canceled entirely for the day. These include:
* Blue Star Delos (Morning departure)
* Fast Ferries Andros (Morning departure)
* Saronic Gulf Routes: A series of schedules for the Aero Highspeeds and Flyingcats serving the Saronic islands have been canceled.
Note for Saturday Travelers: The impact of the strike will carry over briefly into Saturday, February 7, with the 06:00 departure from Porto Heli to Piraeus already confirmed as canceled.

Do I need to change my ticket?
* Crete Routes (Chania, Heraklion, Sitia): If you are traveling on the late-night departures mentioned above, no ticket change is required. Your existing tickets will be valid for the new departure times.
* Canceled Routes: If you were booked on the Blue Star Delos, Fast Ferries Andros, or any Saronic hydrofoils, you must contact your travel agency or the ferry company to replace your tickets or arrange a refund.
