Newsflash from Monday, 27 October 2025:
Travel between Germany and Greece just became easier and more exciting! SKY express has officially launched a new direct route between Berlin and Athens, offering four weekly flights every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
The inaugural flight took off on October 16, 2025, marking another milestone in the airline’s growing European network. After successful routes to Munich, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf, and with Hamburg soon to follow, Berlin now joins the list of strategic destinations connecting Greece with Germany.
Flights are operated with the airline’s modern Airbus A320neo and A321neo fleet, known for their fuel efficiency and reduced environmental footprint. SKY express currently operates 29 aircraft, with an average fleet age of just 3.9 years, underscoring its commitment to sustainable and comfortable travel.
According to Gerasimos Skaltsas, Chief Commercial Officer of SKY express, the new route “enhances connectivity between Greece and Germany and gives passengers from Berlin access to the largest network of destinations in Greece year-round.”

This new service also opens seamless connections from Athens to Crete — including Heraklion, Chania, and Sitia — making it easier than ever for travelers to explore Greece’s most beloved island. Whether you’re planning a business trip, a city break in Athens, or a sun-soaked getaway in Crete, SKY express now offers a convenient and affordable way to reach your destination.
Coming soon: SKY express plans to expand even further with new direct connections from Athens to Lisbon, Madrid, Hamburg, Lyon, and Tel Aviv, as well as new routes linking Thessaloniki–Düsseldorf and Heraklion–Tirana by the end of the year.
Book your ticket now and experience the comfort, reliability, and warm Greek hospitality that SKY express is known for.
